unit 2 relaxation
Hi guys, I'm finding it fun to read all your blogs, there's some good stuff in there. I find it hard to meditate or relax. I have to do it at the end of the day, usually when I'm trying to go to sleep. I did find this relaxation exercise helpful. Another way that helps me sometimes is to focus on each part of your body separately. Start down at your toes and think about them being relaxed, then your whole foot. Really focus on relaxing each part of your body separately while breathing deep. This definitely helps me to fall asleep, I have never gotten past my chest!

Hello Colleen,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to blogging! I too am new to this, we are in this together. We learn something new everyday, and today we learn how to blog. I enjoy meditation and yoga, and I will agree that it does take time to learn to quiet the mind, to just turn off the switch to the outside world, and come to peace with oneself. When I meditate, I go to what I call my "happy place", it allows me to think solely of that place, and as it soothes me, everything else falls into place. Perhaps, finding your "happy place" can help you to reach a meditative state.
Warmest wishes to you!
Vanessa
